Snake Island, Brazil:

It is officially known as Ilha de Queimada Grande and is one of the most dangerous places in the world because of the massive number of poisonous snakes found on this land. It sits on the coast of São Paulo in Brazil. It is the home to the Bothrops insularis, also known as golden lancehead viper, a unique species of the most venomous snakes in the world.

The venom of these snakes is so strong that it melts away human flesh and affects your nervous system. There are five snakes in every square meter of this island. The Brazilian government banned visitors from visiting this island. Only selected people like scientists or people who monitor snakes can visit the island.

The Danakil Desert:

Second place in the Top 5 Dangerous places in the world goes to the Danakil Desert. Located in northeast Ethiopia, in southern Eritrea and northeastern Djibouti, Danakil desert is one of the cruelest and deadliest places on the earth. There are many volcanoes and geysers in this desert that emit toxic gases, and the temperature surpasses 50 degrees Celsius during the day.

Still, some people who live here who call it their home is also known as the Gateway to hell. There are a lot of salty poison pools that have a huge amount of carbon dioxide in them. There is barely any oxygen in this place, which makes it hard to breathe. Visiting this place without an experienced guide is strictly forbidden by the government.

Mount Sinabung, Indonesia:

On third position of the Top 5 Dangerous places in the world is Mount Sinabung. It is an active stratovolcano situated on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Eruptions often occur here, and some of them lead many people to death. The eruptions that occurred here cover the nearby villages and towns in lava and ash several times.

The latest eruption occurred in June 2019, but there are no casualties reported. That eruption ejected a cloud of ash 7,000 meters (22,966 feet) into the sky. Lava from the volcano can erupt anytime and destroy the villages and kill the people.

Lake Natron, Tanzania:

Fourth position goest to Lake Natron. It is located at the foot of the Gregory Rift Mountains between the border of two states, Kenya and Tanzania. It is one of the deadliest reservoirs in the world. The water in the lake is the most alkaline and salty in the world and also reach temperature up to 60-degree Celsius and capable of killing everything that gets into the water.

Its color changes from bright red, orange, and sometimes green; this is due to the microorganisms that release red pigment during photosynthesis. If any animal were to go in the water, it would be burned and turned to a salty stone.

However, even in such dangerous conditions, there are still living beings that are able to survive. Flamingos visit this land during the drought season and build their nests on islets. They feed on the algae, which makes their wings pink. Also, this lake is home to alkaline tilapia, which can only be found here.

You can visit the lake, but touching the water is strictly prohibited as it can burn your skin.

Dallol City, Ethiopia:

Dallol is the fifth dangerous place in the world. It is a ghost town located in northern Ethiopia. It is one of the most remote and hottest places on the earth. The average annual temperature here reaches 35-degree celsius. Hot springs and vast reserves of salt surrounds it. There are many lava lakes and sulfur pools in this region. If you ever visit this place, you will not believe that you are on the earth because the scenery here is so unearthly. The groundwater here is very salty and acidic, and the geysers in this area release toxic gases into the atmosphere, which makes it dangerous.
